I believe that there is a profound lesson to be learned from the final scene of The Master (2012):

Lancaster Dodd: […] Freddie, sailor of the seas. You pay no rent. You’re free to go where you please. You go. Go to that landless latitude. And good luck. Once you figure out a way to live without serving a master, any master, then let the rest of us know, will you? For you would be the first person in the history of the world.
