The newest DC Animated offering leans more toward younger audiences, but those viewers should still get a kick out of it. Peters and writer Adams give much screen time to Jon (Grazer) and Clark (Willingham), which allows the son and father to develop their relationship. Less attention is given to Damian (Griffo) and Bruce (Baker) – a wise decision because there isn’t much there to work with. Tables turn when the two youngsters from different worlds must rescue their fathers from Starro (De Paul). By the end, when Jon and Clark reunite, we’re reminded why the El/Lane family is wholesome and heartwarming.
